A Pop Up, St. Patty's, & Beer!

What better way to celebrate March than eating food and having fun!

This Thursday, we are having our Tacos & Tequila Pop-Up on the Terrace. (Thursday, March 12 | 5:00-7:00 PM) We will feature four taco and tequila pairings for $10 each. No reservations necessary, just show up, grab a bite and a drink, and have some fun!

A week from Tuesday, we are offering a three-course prix fixe menu in honor of St. Patrick’s Day! (Tuesday, March 17 | 11:00 AM-8:00 PM) Booking has become tight, so I suggest making your reservation soon.

Meridians is also featuring a Beer Dinner with Knee Deep Brewing on Monday, March 23. With seven courses paired with Knee Deep brews complete with a casual, fun atmosphere, this is an event you won't want to miss. Seating is limited so sign up soon!

March Morning Lift Madness is in full swing at Kilaga Cafe! Come get your Morning Lift for only $3.50 throughout the month of March!

Perhaps the best hidden gem in the community right now are the Weekend Omelets down at Kilaga Cafe. (Saturdays & Sundays | 8:00-11:00 AM) Kilaga Cafe Supervisor Chris has been flipping customizable omelets and receiving rave reviews. It seems no one can resist a $6, build your own omelet! Come on down to Kilaga Cafe and check it out yourself!

Also, a quick mention of the facelift and update to our website! Browse the new menu and get a glimpse of our upcoming soups of the day, current weekly events, and special events as they release.

My goal is to keep the menu at Meridians fresh, seasonal, and rotating. So, as we are venture into spring, look for new seasonal specials and changes to our desserts, salads, and more. I have also heard requests for certain items to come back onto the menu, and we will. We just want to ensure to maintain a great variety and freshness in our food as well!

March 1

Happy March 1! Spring has sprung early and we’re saving time Sunday, March 8.

This past week has been a bustling one.
Fat Tuesday came and went with a BANG! Our Mardi Gras Pre Fixe menu brought out the crowds in droves. We passed out beads, ate Jambalaya and Fried Chicken, and everyone left satiated!

Our next Pre Fixe menu is St. Patrick’s Day (Tuesday, March 17 | 11:00 AM-8:00 PM). I recommend making a reservation as our list is well over 200 guests strong already. We're hoping to have a real party in Meridians! Bagpipes will be roaring, Corned Beef will be eaten, and there will be a real sense of éire go brách (Ireland Forever). We'll be having a grand ole time!

Join us on Thursday, March 12 from 5:00-7:00 PM for Tacos & Tequila out on the Meridians Terrace! We will feature five chef-created tacos paired with five different tequila drinks. This is the first in a series of Pop-Up Events Meridians will be hosting throughout the year. Be on the lookout at the end of March for the next Pop-Up Event.

On a different note, I want to express my greatest thanks for the feedback we've received regarding our newest menu. As I have mentioned before, I am looking to change our menu more frequently with fresh, seasonal food with local inspiration. Many items over the next year will disappear and return. My goal is to ensure the best quality ingredients are used, traditional cooking methods, and fun presentations.

I also wanted to send out a special thank you to the Food Adventurers Club and allowing me to present the updated menu. It was a great chance to meet residents, as well as showcase my ideas and thought processes behind the menu change.

Kilaga Cafe is presenting a new "egg-celent" feature this week: $3.50 Morning Egg Lift Sandwich - Toasted English Muffin with Scrambled Egg and Smokey Canadian Ham with a Melted Cheddar Blanket made fresh to order. Come swing by Kilaga Cafe and check it out!

Happy Sunday to all!

Just want to give you a quick review of the past week:
Our new menu has begun and has been received well. It is full of new features as well as old favorites. Soon, we will once again be able to feature daily specials that are truly special.
We spent Valentine’s Day with many special guests - here's to hoping they each found love!
Finally, I was able to host my first Pairing Dinner with 32 wonderful residents. We spent time together as a community, pairing Duckhorn Winery’s finest wines with some fabulous fun food.

Fat Tuesday is this week and we will be featuring a three-course, pre-fixe menu of Mardi Gras favorites.
And don't forget to come by tonight (Sunday, Feb. 23) for our International Buffet featuring food with South American roots in Brazil, Peru, and Argentina. We'll have carved meat, new specialties, and something sweet to finish the night. Next month, be on the lookout for a romp around Rome, a tour of Tuscany, and a smidge of Sicily as we feature Italy.

Ribeye for TwoGreat feedback has been given over the past week with our new menu in Meridians. From our new entrees to new appetizers and salads, residents are letting us know how they feel. While change is always something new, we hope that everyone finds something that they can truly enjoy.

Recently our first Tomahawk Ribeye for Two was enjoyed and photobombed while carving tableside for our two lovely residents. They said, “it melts in your mouth and tastes great.” See that smile!

We are looking to bring fun into the menu, Passion into our cooking, and Excitement into the food. Come see what the new buzz is about!

NEW Meridians Menu! - Available Monday, February 10

Happy Sunday to Everyone! Today marks a day of new beginnings and tasting endeavors. We have begun preparing, showcasing, and developing a menu that I feel has a little something for everyone. I have included several of my favorite dishes - to prepare and to eat. I hope you will find favorites of your own! You can join us on this new journey tomorrow at 7:00 AM.

New breakfast items on our upcoming menu include Housemade Granola, Stuffed French Toast, and Loco Moco all available from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Available from 11:00 AM until close, we have a Stacked Pastrami Sandwich, a Half-Pound Double Smash Burger, and even Mac & Cheese (with optional pulled pork on top).
We also have new appetizers, Grilled Individual Pizzas, new entrees including a 22 oz. Bone-In Ribeye Steak for Two.
For those looking for a more complete dining experience, we have paired many items with our selection beer, wine, and cocktails.

Come see what the new buzz is about!
